}Now ithe movie arrives into the blank mc but the loader doesnt work in the external movie when it's called in...but it does when I test it on it's own.
the loader script for the external MC...
bytesloaded = Number(_root.getBytesLoaded());
bytestotal = Number(_root.getBytesTotal());if (bytesloaded>=bytestotal) {
gotoAndPlay(3);
}per = bytesloaded/bytestotal*100;
setProperty("_root.bar", _xscale, per);
percent_t = math.round(per)+"%";Can someone please tell me where im going wrong, it's driving me nuts

your taregting the _root with yr loader and not the MC where you have loaded the preloader.
instead of _root you should use _root.myMC
where myMC is the name of the movieclip you loaded into

Is this not exactly the same thread as yesterday where we answered your question?
- kezza_20
yup, but nothing suggested worked, unfortunately

You are trying to manipulate the length of item bar correct?
If bar is in movie clip "Content_Frame" then you want to reference it as _root.Content_Frame.bar NOT _root.bar as you have now.
This is what we told you yesterday.

kezza, read the actionscript help info it tells you why yr script isnt working. also checkout levels and movieclip loaders.
