not sure if im having a blonde moment but how can you print the colour white in a logo that I need to supply clients with. Basically a Blue square with white type in the middle. It just shows the paper colour where the white is. Is it a printer set up thing?

white is normally the colour of the paper, so white is not alwyas printed, you can get white emulsions for printed on non-white papers and I'm sure the print ppl on here will ltell you more.

Tried white paper?
I think your gonna have trouble finding white ink.
It's CMYK for a reason.

yeah - thought so.
My only concern is that not everyones corporate letter headed paper is white - but I guess they'll have to deal with the paper colour showing thru - cheers

If your having it done litho then you can use a special white ink, but in house on a colour laser or inkjet, no siree bob!

I'd keep the text in there as white in case they decide to print on non-white stock.
Has anyone here ever bodged together a white printer by replacing colours in the ink cartridge? Would anyone here know what sort of ink would be suitable? (aside from the 4 litres of turps i'd take to dilute any remaining black from the heads! :)
I'd consider buying a cheapo Epson just to achieve just this..

the only succesful white printing I've ever achieved was through engraving. all other ink is just too transparent
