Hi people,
I'm setting up a partition that I plan to use as an Adobe Scratch Disk, how much space is recommended? I use most of the Suite's apps and tend to work with high res images.
Thanks.

i made mine 5gb and that's overdoing it really.
2 gb would prolly work fine, i just a thought a 5gb chunk might be more useful to temp dump things etc.
best performance if you make it the #1 partition.

I'll go with 2gb then, what do you mean by make it the #1 partition?
Thanks

oops actually i should say #2 if its your system disk..
and #2 meaning top of the list/ first in the partition breakdown.
that'll be your 2nd fastest spot on the disk.

and #2 meaning top of the list/ SECOND in the partition breakdown.
i'm sure you know what i mean.
i'd go with 3gb just to be safe.. the +1gb isn't going to kill you.
and you always end up with a little under what you designate.

hope you got that correction..
> startup disk/ OS X should be in position #1!
> scratch #2.

Can anyone help? Here is my setup:

1GHz PowerPC G4
80GB HD (2% space free)External HD:
