I have been listening to Air's Alone in Kyoto (Featured in Lost in Translation) and listing to the music from Tokyo Plastics Drum Machine (http://www.tokyoplastic.com/dm...
I was wondering if anyone could recommend Artists or Tracks which have similar sounds with Traditional Japanese instruments fused with modern day music ?
Can anyone out there help ?

I don't know alot of Japanese music along those lines, but bordering on it I'd strongly recommend 'karuki zame kuri no hana' by Shiina Ringo.
It's a fair bit louder and orchestral than the likes of Air, but is quite experimental and incorporates traditional japanese music and instruments with all manner of modern styles.
