1. Sorry about the elections.
2. This a long shot - but do any of you know anyone that might work in the records office or for the government that can help me track down an old friend? He was Canadian and we were very close friends back in Hong Kong until his passing in 1993. I never did find out where he was laid to rest and I cannot locate his family. I need to find his final resting place and I can only assume it was Canada as he was born and had family there. If anyone can lend a hand...well I can't really put into words how wonderful that would be. This is something I should have done years ago.

Jevad: what's the name and where are they from in Canada? That might narrow down some choices to begin looking.

most of the times, only public records you can get in local level
you could always ask the Fed level for list of deaths in that year
it might be eaiser if he passed away out of the country
you can contact external dept and ask for deaths with in that year

there really aren't many angles to hit this from, mainly because its canada. I would've tried but hey.
