most tv is shit.
top gear is fucking great tv,
even the girlfriend loves it.

nothing involving Clarckson could ever be described as "great". Apart from a public execution perhaps, hmmm...

honest . VBH is oin fifth gear (channel 5). I dont watch much TV but topGear is one programme I love and my gf has grown to love it too.
:)

disagree.
top gear format rocks.
he's an arrogant, bigoted dinosaur but the show rocks.

Hey, de4k
seen you put the work you did for BI on your site. Looking good.

clarkson's a prick (who has a too big of a mouth for his mediocre driving skills), but the show is top notch entertainment. great ideas in there.

lol@kelpie
The Stig was a F1 test driver, David someone, They let it slip apparently in one of their shows. Therefore they changed him no one I am pretty sure it's not Damon Hill. but rather a very talented unknown.
Clerkson is a knob and sometimes it's "what Jem says goes". Still like the show and the fact they dio some of the stupidest things.
Wasn't Hammond the one who won the comp to become a presenter on the show??

Top Gear is by far and away the best and only driving show worth watching on television.
Yes, Clarkson is an arrogant S.O.B. but his arrogance is what makes the show great.
The cars are shown in such a light that entertains and informs as they essentially push the cars (the good ones anyways) to their limits using ever-more intriguing methods...
I can honestly say that, having been an advocate for the "I hate Jeremy Clarkson" club, I put my feelings of distinct hatred aside and begun enjoying his petulence and arrogance as part of the show and have since become completely addicted.
UKTV G2 are even showing episodes from a couple of years back every night and I've found myself sitting down with a cuppa watching them of an evening... brilliant!

(Jan 24 06, 02:48)dude, are you going through multiple personalilty syndrome? This is your fourth id now right?

when they do the challenges...ie buy a 70's supercar for less that £10k or a porshe for under £1500 i find it hilarious
it's great tv and the best car review show ever made. the 3 guys now presenting it make a great team and are hugely entertaining
- ********0
Love it! Their reckless driving is fun to watch, and they piss on the cars if they don't like em.
A yankee ver. would be a disaster, like they always are.

tv > shit. british tv > shitter.
wristtattoo
(Jan 24 06, 02:09)That is a well justified argument... pfft.

The reason a USA version wouldn't work is simple. The BBC has no adverts therefore they can say what they want on the show without worrying about BMW pulling there ad's in between.
Jezza said in an interview recently that they had probs with a USA version where he was ripping into the shit new BMW and the programmers were asking him to tone it down because they had an expensive advertising slot in the show..
- HumanMale0
Plus, American doesn't really 'get it' when they try and convert a UK show...
- KuzIV0
It's true. The show is huge globally (especially in Russia apparently) but they ran into problems in the US because of advertisers. Says a lot.
- ********0
Too much cash at stack in the US, thats why most shows suck balls over there.
