finally gave up the gig, and I'm heading out contract and freelance.
That said, anyone strong XHTML/CSS, Photoshop, and batching and maintaining a lot of graphics, there's a job in Vancouver available.

what does it pay?
- spiralstarez0
I'm not sure what they are looking to pay someone new. I was at 45K, but started at 35K.

Good on you, but be careful.
- spiralstarez0
Thx Jaz,
Trying to make it a smooth transition, have part-time contract lined up so I have some more free time to take care of some logistics to get myself up and running independently.

what are you going to focus on; design or photo?
very nice pics on the photoblog.

you sell out tk!!!
- spiralstarez0
I'd like to get into photo, but I don't really know the industry very well or how to get into it (and I hear it's tough)
Probably mostly web and some print work. The job had my portfolio getting stagnant so time for a leap.

send teh Georgia Straight your photoblog addy.. they print similar stuff every week on the contents page.

Thanks for the tip horton. I'd love to get some exposure like that for the photos.
Thanks for all the encouragement everyone, no matter what happens it's going to be a new challenge, and that's a good thing I haven't felt for a while.
