get a pantone color flip book thing. or go to a fedexkinkos and ask to see theirs.

if you really want awesome oranges, you should take a pms color..
anyway, i used to do some work for TNT, and that was one of the brightest oranges i have seen. we also used it in cmyk prints..
but i think usually they pay up for just an extra ink to reproduce orange at its best..
i could look up a id guide for TNT..
just a sec..

+ your printer will appreciate it if you just round up anything >95% to a solid 100%.
- Crouwel0
i agree with horton. better go for a more solid, yet a little darker orange.
but it all depends on how the orange is incorporated in your design ofcourse..

hell yea, awsome help there guys

I usually just round everyting to nearest number that's pretty easy to remember so I'd say m100y50.

vonage uses pms 021...that's more or a tangerine kinda color...

Is Pantone Orange 021 - Pantone's version of true orange? I'm looking for a vibrant (more red than yellow) orange.

I'm planning to roll with Orange 021 and 0-85-100-0. They seem to work well.
And hey! at least I filter before starting a new thread :)

85/100 -- that's closer to red than orange, OFSA. CMYK orange will always disappoint, especially when it's a dominant color.
Whenever the budget allowed, that's one color worth using a 5th for
- I'm going for a redish orange. Still testing...OSFA
- no matter what, it'll always be a mix of magenta and yellow, so you won't make it more vibrant no matter how hard you trymonospaced

BTW, found this site and thought some of you might find it useful

I think it depends:
- What paper will you print.
- Offset, Laser, Rotative?
