Mate, this place is full of critics, it's not the first and not the last time, and if all you've got to show is a couple of cheesy flash 8 blurs, I would prefer a 404 over that any day.

i get it anon but there is difference when you give crit in a way that will help someone versus being a jackass.
at the same time, alot of ppl troll here to put down ppl where as they wouldnt in real life. why is that? dont you find that its cowardly to do so?
it is true, that ppl do get more respect due to their 'work' and their crit but thats true in real life. would you take crit from a student or from someone who has more experience and has more skills
over all this goes same with nopattern and other stuff that goes on.
it used to be really good place to come and chit chat here. where ppl in here were real ppl. now everyone is someone that who doesnt want to be known.

To be honest I was hating on blurs as well when they first stepped on the scene. I was seeing so many sites that, imo, were abusing the new feature. But over time I have grown to accept blurs as I have accepted alpha fades, just another tool.

I think I'll just clear up a few points before the thread will be declared dead.
1. Sean needs to show his work. Not derek's photos, not Photoshop abortions, not someone else's flash work and someone else's photos. Plain and simple, his work and his alone.
2. Derek, about being negative: He asks for it. End of story.
3. Derek, about giving sean a label: Like skt said, he asks for it.
4. I probably grew up worse off than Sean. But that is far beside any real point and not worth discussing.
5. MattRix, I have no problem with you or the work you did for Getti. I really figured he roped someone else into doing the real work on that splash. I take issue with his character, not his splash page.
6. Jealousy doesn't make me get mad at people, it makes me work harder. What makes me had is kids not paying their dues, faking their talent, and clinging to the coat-tails of others.

Sean's talent isn't fake. As I said, I work with him every day and see the stuff he puts out: and it's good. Sometime soon he can probably put up the stuff he's done for Ritz and CBC etc.
As for the website, the whole idea and design is Sean's, the actual coding of it was easy, and was probably less than an hour's work, so don't make it seem as if I made the whole site for him or something - give credit where credit is due.

See, you're still focusing too much on the medium. The blurs are not the site, they're just one of the tools that happened to be used to create the overall effect.
