actually you can get by the whole mc issue when exporting to quicktime by importing your swf into director and giving it enough frames then exporting it as a movie from there. Neat little trick I learned from Joshua Davis during a course a while back. Of course ya gotta have director in order for it to work haha.

SWF2VIDEO by Flashants works best actually but its only for us PC folks. better than director. exports everything you can possibly think of, just as if you were doing a screen recording at ANY frame rate. mc's, AS, mouse interaction...the works. even exports alpha channels with the pro version.
