when i was design school i called up Fox River and told them i was doing a presentation to my class on paper (total BS) and wanted some samples to show..
anyways they sent me a massive box (like 2' x 3' x 1') completely full of promo materials, swatchbooks and boxes, bound calendar books, posters, etc.
it was crazy. and free. not even a shipping fee.

you can order free samples & little books from them. You can get like 25 envelopes, letterhead, 13 x 19, any stock they have.

get ahold of a paper rep. athens has been really good with me. i've had a ton of problems iwth xpedx.
some of the best samples i've sen were the neenah eames collection, any french paper books

there was another company that sent me an insane amount of 40" press sheets of papers. i'll have to look through my books to find it for you.

If you contact them, give them specs for a certain type of job and they'll send you samples of paper to your specs. I'd get tons of free paper when I was is school doing this.
