first version will have few kinks to work out, wait for the next version
also not all your software will work
read up on the software compatibility on the apple site

you might want to wait.
reason being the macbookpro.
word is they understand what the macbook part means but what's with the pro?
speculation is the regular macbook will be the ibook replacement.
the ibook is fast enough now for graphic design, but i use one at home and find sometimes with flash it bogs down quite a bit.
you may want ot wait to see what apple offers in terms of the new intel chips and upgrades.
good luck.

get a 20 if you can... or a macbook pro if you need portablility...
the new ibook is supposed to be wide screen with some serious new improvements.

get a used PB until this is all sorted.
with MacBooks out, prices for used PB's must be dropping fast.

the ceo of intel was on tv a few nights ago saying they would have all of apple's desktops and laptops by the end of 2006.
so, i'd wait and see...

i def. want to wait and find out what's in store for the new line up...
but it is seriously on it's last hoorah... been having problems just opening things, getting stuck on screen saver and soemtimes freezes up on start up! These probelms are now occuring after i got a new Logic Board....my 3rd one!

here a reason.
your ibook lasted only a few year.. why buy another shoddy computer.
