So after many brainstorms in smokey pubs, phonecalls, emails & instant messages our little house party is going ahead.
Music policy is all things house. Starting off deep, moving into jackin US, then to main room party house and finishing off with some techy goodness.
Saturday week, 26th Jan. Scary Canary. 7.30 pm till 3am. Come down and join in the fun. I know theres a few of you.
Register on the site for free entry and come say hello
We have so many DJs we all have to do back2back sets. Should be a messy larf!

dang, sounds nice, wish i was there that weekend...
US... is that like Kaskade (NY), Chicago house, Detroit, SanFran, Tech House? what's the most popular style in Sydney at the moment?
- antoine_1010
wow thats just around the corner from where i work. is this a designer's only event or something?
- toe_knee0
Most popular style is Electro house unfortunatly. But i think its a dying fad.
I love to play deep/ jackin US. Lawnchair Generals, Inland Knights, Bryan Jones type stuff and also enjoy the tech house side of things... stuff like Trentemoler etc

(Jan 17 06, 17:03)ha no, everyone welcome. Just a few of us got together and decided to put on our own night. No rules to the music policy, just fun house music from any sub genre. Hopeing to make it a monthly thing if it goes well.

setup a copy of final scratch, and my mate and I will be there :)
i haven't played in about six years, but he played a warehouse party in sydney last year, and wrecks...
if you wanna check out his tunes, he posted a set on his webspace... there's a set from a Detroit DJ Matt Morris on there too, he's good, but pretty alternative...

Missed Saul Williams but made it to Recloose on Saturday and Katalist on Friday. Was pretty good. Katalyst was mixing 45's. Recloose started off a bit flat but came good in the end. He's a US producer living in NZ. His Dust track is one of my favs of the year. http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF1763…
Heard Saul williams was awesome though, if not a bit hot n sticky
- blackspade0
nice, I missed Sauls gigs but went to the art talk thingy at "the mint" he gave a really interesting chat, + got to meet him n' get his poetry book signed which was choice.
ahh yea have seen recloose here, I think he's doing things with 'Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa'
they do regular podcasts which u might like...

http://www.loop.co.nz/...ta for the mp3 too.
- BuddhaHat0
Yeah toe_knee, Dust is definitely one of the house tracks of '05, you hear it everywhere in the club circuit in Adelaide...
It's an oldish set from him, but there is a wicked set of his, Recloose Live in Hamburg on http://www.betalounge.com ... I love his american funk and soul sound.
