DVD Burning issues

Everytime I try an burn a dvd I'm getting problems on the finish. something to do with failed Lead out/in (this is through Toast) and also a fail just through the OS disc burner. I've tried it with various files (its just data burning) and the same shizzle!
Is this something nasty - or just a funny DVD batch?

yeah.. toast 7 this is.. but it has done it on both toast and through teh osx disc burner! the cd burning is absolutely fine though!

Yeah, unless you have a brand new, as in the last 6 months old mac superdrive with Toast7, you will have consistant problems. I used an older external LaCie DVD burner I think and it ended up working fine.

well this mac i sthe g5 1.6 so what sthat? 1-2 years old now? but it is toast 7. there must be an easier way than plugging in another frikin dvd burner! i mean.. do apples just not burn dvds in their dvd burners?
