if you're in nyc and know how to, i'll pay you $100 to install Tiger
on my thinkpad T42p in dual-boot mode. i've got the official tiger cd, but don't have the time to learn how. thanks.

u cant run current OSX on it.
you need to have the MacBook OSX to run it

also, the OSX does not run on current chip line that uses BIOS to boot up
- SNY0
are you sure about that?
see below:

i think u just need to buy the OSX for Intel and boot it on your computer
your computer should ask which to boot when you start up after you installed
- SNY0
are you serious? that easy? crazy...i'm psyched.
- ********0
yeah theorically
but not sure how the BIOS will react to the OSX...

If you read more about it, Wireless networking still doesnt work and a few other things.
So make sure everything is working and drivers are working before :)

you know what though..
i would wait till someone does this first..
when the macbook hits the streets on Feb, there is gonna be alot of ppl trying this.. and i am pretty sure you will get your "how to" from them

I would personally get a Mac Book and throw Windows Vista on it when that comes out.

why should you have to wait till feb?
I don't think the intel osx cd for the iMac is any different from the one that is going to ship with the MacBook Pros in Feb.

(Jan 16 06, 10:49)different processor and different OS. if this was true, why would ppl installing OSX to PC since when Tiger came out?
remember, not all apps will work also. most of the apps with Universal made will work on both on OSX with IBM/Motorla and Intel
