i need some help with this simple site i'm building. it seems to show well in FF(WIN/MAC) but in IE/WIN it breaks and the left nav functionality is also gone.

do a search for cross-brower css dropdown menus. can't think of any right now.
i think the problem with the layout is size: make sure the margins and padding and widths add up to less than the "wrapper" width.

as far as remember you need a small bit of javascript to make the :hover work on a list item in IE. Have used this before but i cant remember how i implemented it. Think it just does it for you.
*sorry for pasting code here.

You could use the Cliding doors method for your tabs.

As for the rest of it - not too sure. I'll have a look and see if anything jumps out at me.

I don't have time to check out the code, but as a previous post mentioned if you are showing and hiding list items with the hover pseudo-class then it wont work with IE. Hover will only work on the anchor tag.

Hover will only work on the anchor tag.

(Jan 16 06, 06:37)and so you will have to use a little bit of non-obtrusive javascript to simple change the className or style to switch between: display:block; display:none;
nice tee design btw

cheers for the advice.
i've utilised the methods from alistapart. i'm just going thru validation and fixing up some missing divs. hopefully that's all that's breaking it for IE/WIN
