Do you guys ever have that annual conversation with your boss where you are supposed to spill your guts about stuff that's bothering you at work? How do you go about it without pointing the finger at somebody? Or without coming across as lecturing your boss how to run his business?

we have a review every 3 months.
no one here has a problem with being told off or pointing fingers as generally we all get things right.

I never tell my boss anything, i keep it to myself as it fires my ambition to leave the company and seek better work elsewhere. Staying too long in one company isn't healthy for a designer who wants to learn and improve.
ps. never rat out your colleagues unless they've done you evil

that conversation should be constant rather than annual

I get drunk and let rip it is great fun :D

Good point, uberdesigner! Point that i want to get across: some people work according to the standards, other just wing it. REAL shite when you have to work in those people's code.

speak your mind, but use words such as:
In My Opinion we could...
My Suggestion is to...etc.

be honest and professional, but some things are simply not worth bringing up.

a knuckle duster is only ornamental if you don't use it properly
