I like movies about people doing daring things, such as world travel, or rebelling against social constructs. Much like Motorcycle Diaries, but artsy or less artsy I don't give a shit. Sounds kinda cheesy I guess.
Anyone have any reccomendations? I would love to hear from you.

Kinda cheesey movie, but I enjoy the first half of "The Beach" over and over, it's become kind of my mantra as I traveled to new places. It basically gave me the balls to go to S.E. Asia and Japan with no language skills and very little info on the places I was visiting.
And yes @ Fight Club.

Morotcycle Diaries is a beautiful movie about a man who actually played a huge role in placing Cuba in darkness of communism where it's still now. He was very pro-soviet, even named his son Vladimir after Lenin. He sentenced to death hundreds of people, including his comerades who didn't agree on soviet-style of communism in Cuba. He also introduced work camps, where they still keep political opponents and ie. hiv positive people.
He was a revolutionary, but to me just a psychotic shit stirrer who cares only about his false idea, not the people.
Sorry, I get like that when someone portrays Guevara as a positive icon.

We just watched "The Constant Gardener." Easily best movie of the year, IMHO.

Constant Gardener sure is a good movie.
I just came back from china and bought "Qian Li Zou Dan Ji" on DVD.
I almost cried watching it today, and Takakura Ken is on it too.
Go see that movie

Constand Gardener is a sort of a sign of the times. Everyone feels it's not so far from a true story, drug testing in Africa's pretty usual business.
It's just I don't see this movie raise a discussion. Or action.
I hope someone proves me wrong.
