some of the designs and functionality are actually fairly decent. most people don't resort to those though

But think of this. You live on your own you make just enough to get by doing fulltime design work. You need to make a little extra cash so you decide to sell some of your unused concepts for a couple hundred bucks. No harm done right?

do they really make millions and millions?
