The BB needs a mailing list. Whoever's running the list should just email everyone a status update (who has it now, where that person is, who is near) and bug for the next person to be ready to step up.

i say we send out a couple mass emails to everyone on the list telling them to respond or they'll be taken off the list. if they can't respond to the email, they won't respond to an email about sending them the book either...
