Am i missing something?
I have a PDF that someone else created, (grab from t'net), and I am trying to edit it.
I have Acrobat Standard but when I open the file all I can do is mark the text etc, not actually edit it.
I have checked the files settings and editing is allowed, so why can't I do it?I have tried 5 files now and cannot get any of them to work.

you need the professional version of Acrobat for any editing.

Really? I thought standard would be sufficient.
I have Distiller as well but that's something else.Damn!
i can open and edit the file in Illustrator but this only handles 1 page at a time.

just out of interest, has anyone got an editable brand guidelines pdf that i could 'borrow'.
I wouldn't normally go on the ponce like this but the client just announced that he requires one by the end of today, hence not enough time to produce one from scratch.
