Sorry, Matt, you're not the better team.

I should have mixed in the draft last year

Yeah, I don't think they were the better team. They were better than how they played tonight though. I'm schocked at how well Texas' O coord. pulled it back together in the 2nd half. Vince Young was all night, but there were some good play calls goin on there. They kept SC on their heels with that hurry up O. SC isn't used to a team taking charge over them and dictating the game, so that was a rude awakening. Big ups to the SC O line though... they kept the hope alive.

I gladly stand corrected. That was one of the most amazing college games I've ever witnessed, right up there with the Flutie miracle against Miami, and it was inspiring to see Texas pull off the upset.
Vince Young is way better than Michael Vick ever was. The poise, athletic ability, and touch he demonstrated still has me speechless. I guess he really is black jesus.
I think Pete Carrol made the right choice going for it on 4th down. He wanted to put the nail in the coffin. Texas' D made a great stand though, I believe their only stop of the 2nd half.
Interesting that Reggie Bush wasn't even in the game during that series. I guess White is the better short yardage back. And yet, with 18 seconds left, I thought for a second that Bush might break that screen and go the distance.
I thought Leinart was money in the 2nd half - at one point he was 14 of 15 - just Vince Young was that much better. Everybody in that stadium knew he would run to the right side on 4th and 5, and yet he still outraced everybody.
And just think how much crack and vagina JazX would have purchased if he had won tonight. The whole Pennsylvania black market took a hit tonight.

I just rechecked an article from todays LA Times. They had a computer simulation done by an outside company. Out of 50 simulations, Texas won 36 games.
Their pick for the final score was Texas 35, SC 33.

i just posted my take of the game on Slippy, for what its worth...

Amazing and I lost $1500 on this. Well $500 but would have won. But Texas made all the plays at the end and White got stuffed on 4th and 2. Game. VY is great though, but let's see it in the pros.

haha. sorry jazx.
texas baby! yeah!

Congrats to Texas, i was routing for the other but Vince Young was incredible...
oh and can we just call the man 'Jesus' instead of 'Black Jesus' or lets not call him that at all...what the hell??!?!?!! what are you implying there?

Vince Young outrushed Reggie Bush, and became the first player to pass for 2500+ while rushing for for 1000+.
Where is that man's Heisman?
And you know whats even better, he thinks he's coming back next season.

Man that sucks that I missed it. We were at the Bulls game, and I didn't even think to turn on the football game when we got home.
I went to the University of Texas Arlington, but Austin is probably one of my favorite cities anywhere, and tons of friends went to UT.
From what I read it was just mayhem and celebrating in the streets down there.

(Jan 5 06, 08:17)doubt it, but Austin must of went nutzo last night hahah nice

I just got off the phone with my boy in Austin. He said it was absolutely nuts there last night and that the party is gettin ready to carry over thru the weekend.
I've calmed down a little bit since last night. I'm actually a FSU fan, but was rooting for SC last night. I didn't even have any money on the game and I felt like I was going to puke about 4 different time. Now that I look back on the whole thing, I'm realizing what a wonderful game it was. Team-wise, nobody beat anyones ass out there. Texas was either pushing up the field and scoring 6 in a 3 minute attack, or they were getting stalled out; hot/cold/hot/cold... SC kinda kept that same old grind going the whole game; struggling for every yard with a few exceptional plays.
Player-wise, you can't even think about not giving props to #10. Amazing.
I still have a fucking headache from watching that game last night...

nobody going to class, except high or drunk
