I would suggest either losing that top splash image completely or atleast moving it to the bottom...your work is more important than some splotty shades of grey...

ya i can see what you mean, the image at the top is really a placeholder for now, eventually more detailed images of each project will be in that spot.

Dead space is right, It's very Dark for a portfolio site especially with the music.
Also You put you took 1 hour for this project 5 hours for this etc. Not sure this is a good Idea if your hoping to make some money.. Yeah sure you might get an idea in the first hour but it makes it sound like you get 1 idea do it straight off.. People might like to think you've considered other options..
