hello all
could someone please check if my new site works in your browser. i checked in explorer/firefox and it seemed fine.
please let me know if the site is simple enough for a portfolio site...I have this design problem that I always want to make it messy oi:
http://www.focusart.com
I also think it is very slow...mmm
Thanks

seems to work fine. But on the page with the information and the images the section with the links that say clothes, film and stuff has a bit of a horizontal scroll which looks incorrect. The rest is fine. Oh yeah using FF 1.5 for WIN

it seems ok on safari 2.0

first off in ie you are preloading over 90 items before i ever see the menu.
as i write this i have watched it go from 60 to 20 items remaining.
i am on a fast cable modem and it took a noticable amount of time to preload your site for no apparent reason.
the scrolls are all messed up in ie and ff, as ie is still creating some that your formatting is not affecting
winxp ie
win xp ff

Yep, slow it is. Also sat waiting for the index page to do something - I'd lose this and have it go straight to the site, unless you make it more obvious that the page needs clicking to move on to the site proper.
Also a bit scrollbar crazy, at least on ie6. Would try it in Aol but I don't have all morning.

thank you all very much.
I guess I will just reduce the amount of work shown...it is really slow.
Happy new year!!!

don't reduce the work shown, change the code so it doesn't preload
- dandy_790
sorry..but how would I do that? thank you...
- version30
something is simply incorrect either in your syntax or your particular method of coding
i haven't viewed your source but why is it taking so long to load the intro image, the menu, and your news text? that should happen instantly what is loading and not showing?
are you using javascript to hide the items from your drawing area to create the intro page?
you should know this better than i.
also you should look into some div scrollers to control the appearance of your scrollers across different platforms
and the frame that contains your menu should be fixed to have no scrollers ever as it doesn't need them
the frames inside frames thing is kinda wierd too, maybe that's what causing the preloading
good luck
