has anyone else signed up on the marlboro mailing list for a free zippo or free smokes at the bar? i get about 1-2 a month and they look really good.
who does all these pieces? with big tobacco's budget, they're all crazy packaging, lots of special processing, etc.

I just left Leo B and work on the Marlboro account...the mailer you are talking about was done in house...almost all of the design work is done in house...some stuff is done out of house but its not much

its funny working for tabocco companies.
i work for BAT and when enter the offcie they offer you a packet of smokes and in every meeting rom there are cigarettes and they all some..a lot...fun people though.

The Marlboro stuff is great. I signed up for a free lighter back in college (FYI, I've never smoked a cigarette in my life) but I thought the Zippo was cool so I gave them my info. I've moved about 4 times since then, and Marlboro keeps following me.
Not only is the design great, but they give me the coolest crap. I've gotten free meals at Ruth Chris, free tickets to a Nascar event, and best of all, 2 tickets to a private Marlboro 50th anniversay even with Aerosmith.
I give all my smoker friends the coupons, but I keep all the goodies to myself.

You dont get black listed for health insurance...see thats how lame rumors get started...honestly I would love to work for the truth campaign because when these kids find out all the info they are giving them (well most of it) is from the 70s pre MSA (master settlement agreement) thats gonna be a big turn off. So sad how people are misinformed
