My Powerbook just got smashed and I'm pissed and need a replacement screen. Is there any way to replace the screen myself or do it without resorting to paying a massive amount of money?

is it a new one? did you get the warranty plan with it?
not sure how they handle that.
i'd take it to the apple store to get a quote first.
i do know however you can find screens for sale on ebay.

Yeah I can use an external monitor (fortunately) or use the un-destroyed section which has pretty multicolor lines running through it.
