How much a day is too much?

Used to drink coffee all day long, now limit myself to only before noon (unless it's Saturday or Sunday and I've slept in. )
M-F I have about 1 1/2 large mugs of coffee. Kitchen is right around the corner from my office, and we've got good coffee at work too.

When ur pee starts looking like coffee. And it starts smelling like cream and sugar. Your shit turns into half and half (half shit, half coffee grinds). When you start wiping ur ass with coffee filters. Thats when u know ur drinking too much. Otherwise, keep drinking it.

I used to have one big mug of coffee every morning. Recently I quit though. I was noticing my teeth were coffee stained.

I have a large coffee around 9am then a small around 3pm. My teeth are fake, so they don't stain..

I make a 12-cup pot of coffee in the morning and drink it all day until its done. Around 11pm when I start to get sleepy and need to stay up and work, I make another one and repeat. My teeth have all fallen out already because of crack tho.

My father just had kidney stones removed from drinking too much coffee. He still drinks about 24 oz. a day, even after the doctor told him to chill out. So yea, drink all you want.

i used to work in the office where it had a cappuccino machine. so we'd make our own and have like 3-6 cups/day.
when i stopped drinking, i get a headache for like two weeks. now i drink maybe one every 2-3 days.
i am hooked on this coffee from Bruno the King of Ravioli. i am having one as i type.

one espresso most mornings plus around 2-3 cups of black coffee throughout the day.
i need to cut back, but i really love coffee and i need the boost in the afternoon : (

I take a cup into the shower every am. Then a mug to drive to work.
Then a late cup o joe around 3.
And I would consider myself a lite coffee drinker here in the PacNW.

Has anyone here been able to give up coffee?
I find myself coming in to work on Monday mornings feeling good, then have my usual coffee, and a headache sets in that stays with me for the rest of the week.
I don't think I could give up the ritual of coffee every morning, but I think I'd like to do a one week test with no coffee and see how I feel.

i knew a guy who had one of those novelty 7-11 72oz mugs...he'd fill the whole thing with coffee and nurse it through out the morning.
