I just switched to a LCD. I got the Dell 24" - so crisp and bright. Saved a lot of space to on my desk. Make the switch..

dell ultrasharp series are really good. just as good as apple's cinemadisplay series but much cheaper. there are sites that publish coupon codes so you can get them even cheaper. i would tell you the address but i recently lost all my bookmarks.

I'm just waiting for the 24" to go to around 750 or so. Then I'm picking it up. don't forget, more then likely you will need a new video card as well, so don't forget to budget that in.
NEWS:: dell is releasing a 30" on jan 5. And I hear rumors of a new 24, but nothing from dell on that, from what i've seen.
some nore coupon sites:

and don't for get anandtech.com for some hot deals

too rich for my blood right now V3, but thanks, gonna stick with a 19".
I shouldn't need a new vid card, I've got an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 128 MB RAM that came with the PowerBook specificall to run a second monitor.

yeah and upgrading the video card on a laptop is a lot more difficult than on a desktop

youre going to want more than 19" because their native resolution is only 1280x1024, get at least a 20 or more
