Did anyone watch the show on (Discovery?) about that hideous baby that was born with an incredibly deformed head? I can't remember much but that it was VERY disturbing. I wanted to Google it more, but don't know what to type in...

man, those images are very difficult to look at. I have 2 children and I think about how lucky I am for them to have been born healthy. Also, I watched a documentary about a year ago that was about the birth deformities of children born in war torn countries. The images from Vietnam were so sad. And now to see it happening in Iraq is just unfortunate.

I apologize for posting this. I feel horrible after reading some of the testimonies. The parents of these kids are incredible. I don't know if I could do it. I feel pretty shallow at the moment...

and that is only the outside.
since we are all so caught up by the sensation of deformities we forget the internal deformities, virusses/cancers/malfunctioning organs etc etc.
long live war. long live pollution.

Things in the world have gotten pretty messed up over the years eh?
Every one has there own theory to chalk it up to too...
what's yours?
I chalk it up to sin and human depravity

confusion and massive change, that's all.
i am not too pessimistic for mankind, however, i am pessimistic about many lives of the poor and vulnerable now and for the near future...

I sometimes wish I went into reconstructive surgery. I think it's an amazing profession - esp because you can drastically improve the quality of another person's life..

smoking while pregnant. second hand smoke. doing drugs while pregnant. any form of designer drug while pregnant by either the man or woman.
chemicals injested or breathed over a period of time by anyone working in or near factories.
when taking into consideration how amazing it is that two microscopic entities can form one human being and all the steps along the way that have to be absolutely perfect one can understand that sometimes things happen.
when i worked on a farm growing up we'd get maybe 1-2 deformed or still born calfs a year for the 300+ head of cattle the guy had. so, times how many humans a day are born and try and figure out the ratio that not always is the development process perfect. you really can't blame it on one thing alone.
i'm knocking on wood right now.

I personally think this is one of those situations where our overly eager western doctors fight for the life of a child who would have passed on 50 years ago.. facial reconstruction every year from birth? what kind of existence is that for a child in this superficial world of silly monkeys that only judge you by your face?
poor child.

I am braided steel cords wrapped in tiger skin.
I eat rocks for breakfast.
I killed a bear when I was only three.
I got the ugliest dog and the prettiest girl this side of hell.
