That's awesome. It's nice that the city is so dense those kind of networks can be installed for regular internet access.
It really sucks in Canada, having internet providers like Rogers who have a shitty network, shitty service, and never seem to improve. Seems like we are leagues behind here.

damn youre lucky.. ive had 100mbit at my uni. appartment and it was like "ok done that.. what to download now" dont live there no more so back to 0.5mbit..
you could probably download half the world in a couple of years with 1000mbit hehe

You gotta love this. My home internet connection was 100mbps FTTH (Fiber to the home)
NTT, the Japanese phone giants, just came round and upgraded my fiber line to 1gbps.
Gigabit Fiber, for no extra cost.
Like I'll ever need that sort of speed!!!
I can already download a gig in about 3 minutes...
