Also, I don't actually look for ppl in that way. Im pretty positive that I don't have that 'desperation' quality about me, b/c I would notice. I mean, I'm really self-conscious about certain things, and I can ALWAYS tell when someone likes another person. I knew this guy liked my friend for months before she knew it, and they may be getting married in a few years. I know there's a difference between noticing things about yourself and noticing things about a friend.
Let's just say...I will notice someone who looks good and is attractive, but I won't do anything to suggest that I like them.

when i met my husband the last thing i wanted was to meet anyone...i had my thing going and simply thought he didn't exist. i knew what i wanted, wouldn't settle for less and didn't care if i was on my own.
he's exceeded every expectation, hope, wish...we've been together 4 years, married 1 and it has been the best and happiest time in my life.

hey jaline etc. I've been single for a few years now and I'm really happy as a single lad I am pretty sure I won't meet anybody special or anything like that but you know what I'm happy with it. I like me and I also like being freinds with people companionship can be what you make it. I think the booze is working he he. See, I know I'm not desperate or anything, but I find that I can be overly critical /picky about guys whenever I am looking. However, I think I'm the same way when I'm not looking, haha. I'm just a big weirdo and will probably be alone for the rest of my life. No problems here :P

Jaline, I think exactly the same way (but about girls). Don't think theres anyone for me.
I don't mind being single I like hanging out with my mates and just doing my own thing. But like you said previously, it would be nice to have someone there occasionally.
