Hi
Is there anyway of Copying frames and pasting frames in place...
i need to take frames out of a movie clip onto the main timeline but they are moviing postion.

right click on the frame/s you want to copy choose 'copy frame' ..right click on the frame to paste to & click 'paste frame'...

'copying frame flash' into google..

i'm assuming though that you're hoping it pastes into the same visual position on the stage though, and it's not because the registration point of your movie clip and the reg point of the main stage are different, right? well, you're outta luck

or you can use the onion skin editing mode (those three misterious buttons, near the horiziontal scroll in the timeline window

Thanks Fariska, i didnt realise you could do that with onion skin and thought it was just a trace tool...

I do this all of the time.
The easiest way is to put a rectangle the same size as the stage area INSIDE of the movie clip that you want to copy and paste frames and align it to the stage area when ur are editing the symbol 'in place'. Then just Copy and Paste frames...works like a charm.
