Should I buy a psp or grow up?

I'd go with growing up. Everyone I know who bought one of those regrets it and never uses it.

i recently purchased a gameboy micro and honestly i use it everyday!!! i have only 1 game and its the onei love.
street fighter 3 alpha. all the characters all thje fun.
PSP is big and clunky. a game boy micro is smaller than your phone. want to drop it? go ahead it works fine!!! when i hear people dropping their PSP's all i hear is that sob story of the cash they spent to get it.
i still say get an ounce of weed!

Enter response: The PSP is fun but there arent really any good games out for it yet. But check metacritic for a collection of reviews. I'd recommend getting a Nintendo DS, it has a growing library of amazing innovative games.

I use mine all the time. having wifi, a browser and the ability to stream podcasts makes it the shit.
The games are honestly secondary for me.
if you ride a bus or train or eat lunch by yourself this thing would pay for itself in months. Much more entertaining than an ipod.
Would an ipod be grown up?

i bought and returned mine. was fun but unneccessary.

GTA and Socom Fireteam Bravo are good games.
Nintendo is marketed to chicks ;)

in8, did you think it was necessary?
- e-pill0
when i ride the subway [when they dont strike] i take out my micro, open the game and kick punch block!!! its so fun and i only use it on the trains. the ride flies by. and oh its like as small as a nano, a lil thicker andd uses the same game cartriges for gameboy advance. that cross compatability is key!! hundreds of games to chose from!!! and the graphics are amazing!!! also $99 and games are $10+.
a PSP is more money, clunky as hell, and easier to break. with a ton more features, but for me its gameplay and gaming only!! im getting Castlevania tomorrow!!
get an ounce of weed!!

i think i finally outgrew my hardcore gaming days. i used to be really into video games but with the newer and more complex games, i just can't stay interested. somehow the simple 1st and 2nd gen games kept me hooked for much longer.

did you run the emulators on your psp, in8?
- imavery0
I like mine, well worth the money. Its still early in game development, but the other options far outweigh the other portible items. I would say an ipod vid is pretty similar, but the psp still has more over all value. I used to have a DS, and although the games can be innovative, they tend to lack any real luster (Nintendogs?) actually found the DS to feel pretty cheaply made. The micro is okay I guess, but its only if you are really into the retro thing. But those games are still playable for the PSP, or will most likely be ported over anyways. In my opion, the PSP is by far more versitile than most other portible media. Movie, music, photos, games, streaming music, wifi compatibility, built in web browser. More value for the dollor. But it's your money.

I was never a gamer (computer games only) and bought a PSP for my wife to show pics and vids and our kids to play games.
Put it this way...the NEVER use it, cause I have it ALL the time. It's way fun...I recommend it.

Nice toy... i just got xmen and it is a lot of fun to play multiplayer with... it has a we browser. i have a buddy how has an emulator and nearly every early nintendo game i could think of on it... no cartridges to fool with... sweet.
sure, if you can blow the money, get it.
