Hardly ever wake up late with catastrophic results. Sometimes I do just wake up with catastrophic results though... puking and such.

Long story, but youll like it....
The last time i woke up late with catastrophic results: A few years back working for a Manchester graphics agency, I went out on the lash the night before a HUGE client (the agencies biggest client) was due to come in to amend some artwork before getting this huge, rush job off to print.....
Anyway, i woke up about an hour late, got dressed and got my sister to give me a lift to the bus stop, it was too early for a hangover but it was coming on fast.....
We were in the car when i wound the window down and spewed out of it all down the side of my sis's shinny white car (sha made me wipe it off when i got out of the car).
So then I get to the bus (its an hour bus ride to manc from my house, and i was feeling worse by the minute), anyway, the sickness comes and goes and verytime it does i get off the bus, spew, and get another bus to continue the journey.... the journey ends up taking around 2 hours (so already im three hours late!!!!)
When i arrive in work the client is there, looking all bright eyed and smart (i look and smell REAL bad!), so i sit down at my comp, and realise i cant focus, no shit, i really couldnt fucking see the machine! So i get a co worker to help me out while i go to the cafe for a cup o'tea to make me feel better....
I neck the tea, but then....... shit, feel sick again, so i run to the toilet, theres only one cubicle and its full and the sick is rushing through me bursting to get out... i put my hand over my mouth, but i cant stop it, the hot tea comes gushing out all over the bathroom, my hand and my sweater.... now i really stink!!!!
I go back in but the job doesnt get approved for sign off (not sure why, i was too incorehant to notice)
Anyway, the job was late, my boss got took to court over it, he sells his office and now works in his bedroom, trying to pay off the massive debt left with him from the job!!!!!!!
So yeah, pretty bad late one that!

holy shit dude, that was pretty bad

Got Fired??

Actually, I didn't like that story. Actually I think you made it up, or at least embellished considerably.
I demand my money back.
- DavidFelt0
yeah, it wasnt all my fault, basically my boss was naive and got ripped off!!!!
A print company won a large contract and wanted us to do the artwork, when we didnt get it completed on time he got took to court and sued for it!
- DavidFelt0
its all true, seriously!!!!! i didnt get fired as as i say it wasnt all my fault, but me and mike jumped the sinking ship to set up on our own... and hes now in his bedroom!!!!!!!
funnily enough i still do some subcontract work for him and were still mates, ask mike about the previous night, and the strippers!!!! ;)

The only time I've ever woke up late was when I missed a flight to some design awards. It didn't go down too well with work.
Quite a boring story really...
- MichaelFelt0

because of me being in acting senior management level i don't have to answer to no fucker so, i am never 'late'- saying that, if i happen to be running, as some might say, 'slightly behind schedule'-i'd A: send a message from my blackberry or B: phone ahead to my secretary, bev. in my position, i'm never really away from 'work', i'm always doing things i.e planning, managing, strategy, writing seminars, testing things and stuff. saying that, when i hold appraisals for my staff i'm (in charge of 35)-i can come down quite hard on punctuality...especially on some of the girls, it's quite a good feeling giving the birds a ticking off, they respect me a bit more cos, i'm the boss and that, and normally get pestered for sex later, which i never turn down. daft eh??

this happened to me a few weeks ago! Was staying at a mates house and work up late ran up the road to the bus stop the heel on my shoe snapped! So I had to catch the bus home to change my shoes and then get two buses to work I got in about 11am!!!! Edinburgh buses are shit! Plus it was my favourite shoes!! Don't think you guys would understand but it's shoes!!!!

I once woke up late for a flight. From Helsinki to London. I had about 45 minutes to shower, pack and get to the airport. I held up the plane and all these Scans wanted to knock me out. They should have, I deserved it. Nonetheless, I got wasted at like 9:30 AM on FinnAir and got even more wasted at Heathrow.

I woke up 2 hours late for a flight from Amsterdam to Athens on a new year's day. My cheap-ass ticket wouldn't allow for a later flight.
Yes, I should have figured.
