there is no store where we live now so I don't read them much and when I do look for them in novel form. last one i read was WE3 which was short but a good read.

yes. though most of the ones i read are obscure enough that they don't come out regularly :(

man, I used to read comics so much. I read and collected religiously from 3rd grade til I graduated high school.

just last week marvel killed off my greatest hero...Spider-Man.
i know his character is going through a re-vamping process, but the initial read of the progress of the death of Peter Parker really destroyed me and took something i held so close to myself. all my life i saw the guy doing everything he could for those he loved and never for himself and now it too late. i love Spider-Man.
you can pick up the death of Spider-Man in the issues of all 4 main titles in the Maxi-Series 'The Other'.

i am going on 25 now and have been reading since 4th grade.
spider-man, x-men, avengers, fantastic four and batman
fables and y: the last man are two newer ones that i love.

he will be back...

he is the flagship of marvel. i just hope they don't bring him back all changed with a different origin

The Walking Dead and Y - The Last Man are the two I read most regularly now. Hellboy has some great art, it's worth getting the trade paperbacks. Also Powers is good.

Spider-Man will be brought back with a new costume designed by Tony Stark aka Ironman.
upon Spider-man's death new powers emerged. it is suggested it is from the complete destruction of the man leaving only the spider.
Peter Parker's left eye was ripped out of his face and eaten during the battle for his life. i have seen tiny glimpses of the new costume and its similar to the 2099 costume i think.

i used to read comic books. i used to make comic books when i was little. i still write some now. they all get made and thrown into my vault Prince-style.
but all of the comic book shops in my area shut down a long time ago and i'm thinking of opening one with a friend where an old one used to be.

that comic was like crack. I couldn't get enough.I used to spend like $50-$60/week on comics when I was young. That's back in like 87-89. Me and my buddy used to mow mad lawns and wash cars and go door to door hanging Avon catalogs, just to make our comic money every week.

comics are a blue print sometimes for compositions I work on whether in terms of illustration or layout.
they are fundamental to my inspiration
