i want to convert a postscript font to a truetype or opentype
i need a font converter either freeware or $20 etc, any suggestions?

Nothing that cheap. Best way is TransType, but that'll be $179. A little cheaper if you buy an upgrade to Fontographer or FontLab if you got one of those. Or try TypeTool for $99.
Or: FontShop will do the conversion for you at around $20-50 depending on the job.

Very sorry, missed the TT option.
In that case there's probably a shareware app. Search Versiontracker. But if you want it done right, I still suggest asking professionals at a font retailer.

If your on pc, cross font works well and now supports open type..

I guess I didn't ask the most obvious question: why not buy the windows version? Most are $20-40 per weight, so it would be cheaper than any of the software options.
Unless, of course, this is a custom font, not commercially available.

crossfont freeware might do it
