Yo web peeps.
I do interface design in Photoshop - is there any way to make quick prototypes by linking jpegs together? Maybe some PDF magic?
Wot do you use for prototypes?

I don't understand your question.

you mean templates?

One way I have done this is to actually code the Jpegs up in Dreamweaver (quick AND dirty) and use a huge image-map to link to different sections.

There's no need for prototyping really other than explaining to the client the functionality in words - prototyping along the lines you are suggesting is too time consuming for what it is - just as easy to explain that if you click here you go there etc if you get what i mean? Unless of course it is a huge project with plenty of budget for prototyping).
I can see what you're saying - you want to be able to demonstrate click-throughs on your static images right?
You may well be able to do it in Acrobat but it will be just as easy ,if not easier, to stick the jpegs in html pages and link through with hotspots (in dreamweaver) on the relevant parts of the image.
Hope that helps!

I always just do the designs and put the full size images in html pages where the images are links that you can click through.

I discovered the linkt tool in Photoshop which looks like it'll do the job nicely.
Though I might go the Dreamweaver 'cause atleast then its in the web browser with the hand and all that.

If we didn't prototype everything we go down the crapper big time

Are you mainly an interface designer?

pull the static screens into flash and whip up a quick demo.
either interactive or guided.

try freeway. very simple tool thats great for quick html website prototyping.
flash also does the job, but in a less elegant way.

There are some great articles and discussions about this here

Lots of mentions of dreamweaver, acrobat, visio for prototyping

This article in particular... there are custom prototyping tools to download for visio

Where I work: We layout all the unique screens in Fireworks. Fireworks is hella tight for exporting lots o layouts in little or no time. (in any format) Then we slice and dice our images. Throw some code in....BAM....delicious websites.
