I work for a in house design company and only just relised that the IT support peps spy on your every move (By every move i mean all our emails) we are not aloud to send festive fun emails. do any of you have this happen to you???

kind of. i know we have a huge IT department but so many emails go in and out each day there is no way they can track them all.
i mainly use i.m. and yahoo to talk dirty to the girls in the office.
haha.

our IT guys can connect to our comps and watch us do everything.
i stay fairly busy but on the occasion that i screw off and email my friends about spankings and porn, i figure IT can bite me. seriously... what are they gonna say.
"uhm... E, we saw that you were soliciting spankings from someone going by the hacker alias 'KOna". We just want you to know that this sort of behavior is . . . uhm... frowned upon. In addition, 'fuckstarting' is not a phrase that the company endorses."
Whatever. I'm friends with most of them and if I told their supervisors half of the shit they get away with, all hell would break loose. heheh

lol @ Bio!!!
hahaha
fuck man I couldn't work at a place like that...

same here Bio but I dont know if they actually watch what we do. I just know that they can just take over my comp.

hehe. it isn't that bad. for the most part, they leave everyone alone unless they see a lot of bandwidth being used. then they check.
they actually found one of my coworkers was emailing pics of herself having sex with another dude who was not her husband.
that was pretty funny. not to mention hott and currently part of my "home collection" hehehe

My old IT manager could track people's msn and yahoo messenger traffic. It's quite scary what they get up to.

well i got a email of a friend, well actually i go a email from IT department telling me i had go one and they have deleted it......
But at the christmas party we had, all the info came out about peps in the office and s**t, so they must sit there all day reading them...
*i wonder if they can see me writing this now...........

we're all set up with virtual machines here but either way they can see all. even our phone conversations can be recorded...
any kind of personal emails or when I'm pissed at my boss and need to talk smack I'll go to my yahoo email for that. the IT guys tells me they really don't look at anything but if you were about to get terminated and are bringing people down with you then it's free game. It is there property...

At the company I worked at last the Sys Admins went into the girl I worked withs Live Journal diary, read it and found out she was cheating on her husband. They then sent the password to her husband (whom one of them was friends with and worked for the same company). The journal contained explicit sexual detail of the affair she was having with someone from the office. Is that even legal?

Andy, why are you wasting your time on NT? Bob from accounting needs his invitation ASAP.

I just found out our connection is monitored here now. I thought it always was anyway. I think any large IT dept has the ability to take over your computer for remote administration uses.

lol, i ll probably get an email in a min telling me that...

Being friends with the SAs helps unless your company is to big. At my last company the SAs would joke around and call us professional web surfers.
- radar0
what are SA's like latino gang members?
- IRNlun60
damn seed. not sure if that was legal or not but she deserves it. cheaters f'ing suck...
- arinya0
well if I was his friend I probably would have done the same. but it is kinda out there to do.

Then the husband freaked out and confronted her by sending out an email to the hundreds of people at the companies 2 local locations to detailing what she did and how devastated he was.

It is messed up that they were reading her journal in the first place.

legally I thought they couldn't do that unless they had a fucking good reason. Data protection and all that???
