Ok, so what does everyone think I should buy?
1 24" Flat Panel widescreen monitor or for approx. the same price 2 20" Flat Panel widescreen monitors?
Both are dells and both are currently on sale.

40" is far too large.
I'd go 24".
The split would bother me.

I think for work get the two 20"... for pure gaming, one big screen is hard to beat..

I've got the exact-same quandary - I'd already upped my budget to a widescreen 20" as a second monitor - now they've got 24" widescreens for an extra £250.
Well, I say exact-same, but the US costs are more forgiving, and I'm still unsure how coupling a 17" and a 24" would work practically...
Got 3 more days to decide befoire I stump for one or 'tother..
they are BEAUTIFUL screens though!
