just completed the first milestone of my new online portfolio and would love some feedback.
http://portfolio.bmddesign.com/
it's fairly basic, just needed something to show my recent work since i'm about to kick off the search for a new job. unfortunatlely my current job's keeping me hella busy and i don't have a lot of time to make it super snazzy.
(btw, i'm aware that some projects don't have descriptions, i'm in the process of writing them)

i like overall. the logo is really not crisp though. might need to bring the size up on that a bit.

I like it on the whole, looks like nice work too :)
one small thing though.. when you view the images from any of the projects you don't see the text that says loading images unless you look for it, except that it feels good too.

Maybe re-order your project list. like put your best work on top of the list. Your first 2 are not as strong as some of the ones that follow.

Your image preloaders could be a little more prominent and it looks like the reflection's jumping in just before the main image, spoiling the illusion a bit. The logo looks odd to me - it feels like the 'b' and 'd' need to be dropped a pixel, or the 'm' raised one. Also, the text reflections look a little bright and long and I expect to be able to click on text that has an arrow next to it. I don't know why.
..but, these are mere details, ones which I'm sure you'd notice anyway - generally, I like it - clean, simple, interesting - just that little bit different, without being outlandish.

my bad. when you change between sections, the image reflection of the current project lags a little before the 'loading images' text pops up.
and..
Good luck! :)

apart from the content, i'm going to be working on tightening up the animation sequences and other timing issues next.

D_Dot, i'm just curious, but which 2 projects do you consider the strongest. i have my reasons for the order i chose, but i'm interested in outside perspectives.

Sorry, the first one I like (Virgin Red) it's the next one I might swap out with the Davey tree project. Just because it seems more visually appealing to me then the Attevo project (which is still nice but not as strong)

1- Ecco Bella
2- Davey Treei also think how every image rests along the top of the black bit at the botom. i would like to see the imagery float a bit from there.
site has a nice RGA-esqu palette to it as well.

it's nice, reminds me of agency.com's portfolio section.
But it's nice and clean. Maybe need some slicker animation to it.

funny you should say that madirish, rga's on my list of places to apply to. hope they don't think i'm biting their style!

The styling of the logo and the rest of the content don't really go together IMHO. The logo looks very lo-fi and playful, and the rest of the content has a very old school corporate feel. Also, no explanation of who you are or contact info? You might consider putting a phone number and e-mail address up there at the least.
