Hi! I need a new PC, not mac. I want one that wont crash when using photoshop and dreamweaver together or when using large image files. I'd like a 19" flat screen and a stand alone type copier scanner printer. I've not upgraded for a while and know very little about whats around now and thought that maybe someone onhere could help...so, any ideas?! I'm looking at £700 max if possible. A tall oredr perhaps, brands don't interest me so long as it's good!! suggestions please.Cheers

i like laptop better. i have a desktop pc and it's taking up a lot of space in my apt.
if you can, get a laptop. it'll come very handy when you travel or go to meetings.
i like thinkpad.

check out http://www.aldi.com , this is not a joke, they have these medion machines there for £749.99 that are absolutely briming with kit. I know a few peeps who run them for video (perhaps upgraded vid card) and no problems. worth a look. cheap monitors too

Have to say since I started working on a laptop I'd not go back - But your right, for the money you'll get more on a desktop machine.
Know a couple of people who did the dell.co.uk route and were very happy...

So what kind of spec does everyone reccomend for large images, a few big progs running all the time, music playing all the time etc etc...I'm fairly new to working seriously on computers so all advice is greatly received!
