Canadian, but living in Germany at the moment. I went to York, actually, for the graphic design program too! Is Paul Schechter (sp?) still teaching there? I did a road trip to Hannover earlier this year and did a stop in Weimar to take a look at the Bauhaus University. It was kind of out of the way :P
I trust that if you're in the design program at York then you should already know a thing or two about Bauhaus University and should already be slightly enlightened, but I can't really tell you a hell of a lot about it because we only went to see it for an hour or so.
Sorry that's all I can tell you but it's supposedly a great school covering all fields of art, from sculpture to architecture.
So in what area of Mississauga are you living?

I think Paul teaches at the Senecca graphic design program. He gave me a card from Senneca when I met him last year at a type meet.
I think a big part of the exchange is being in another country, its an educational experience on its own and highly inspiring, I too am also interested in this exchange but moreso want to be exposed to different approachs to design seeing as the York Program dosn't seem to suit me so well in some respects, rather than comparing the technicalities of each program.
