This is driving me insane.
All I want is a simple piece of software that will add simple effects in realtime to my guitar (which is on the line-in2 jack input).
I can't find crap, and what I have found, just doesn't work. I found one VST plugin that worked a bit - it seemed to cycle through effects randomly but not properly- it was all screwy and gay.
I have an Audigy w/ live drive.
SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE.
There's no chance of me getting my JCM 800 rig in this room :(
PLEASE HELP SOMEONE :(

Just buy a line6 POD.
I use mine for recording into my mac. I also used to use it as an amp when I didn't have one around (I could play it through my computer speakers)
I simulates loads of amps plus has lots of useful effects which you can control with acutal knobs not on screen. Best buy I've ever made.
buy one!

Yeah I know they are great, I just can't afford it atm.
There must be some good freeware stuff around, distortion isn't that complex..
