Death Cab's sophmore CD sucked compared to their debut...
plus they barely advertised it...

Death Cab's sophomore cd came out in 2000...
Sufjan Stevens is the only one from this year that has really held up for me, all this wolf parade clap your hands stuff gets old pretty quick.

Arcade Fire's album Funeral came out in 2004.
September 14, 2004 to be exact.
It's a great, wonderful album, no doubt. But it is not at all relevant to include it in 2005 best of lists, no matter how much of their popularity was gained this year.
