I am looking for design companies in the NYC or San Fran areas that may specialize in informational architecture diagrams, like showing process and functions...

relax - sometimes folks are given a hard time, it happens every 2.1s on PVN.
you need to provide more information so one knows if it's worthwhile, your requirements, etc..
clients cause as much headache as success, and the best people are always busy, so try to compel them to WANT to respond.

because that is the 2 offices i work from mainly, so keeping it local is important to create a better business relationshipwhat gives:
budget is not microsoft but bigger than a startup. what you charge should be based on your experience and ability to execute in a tinely matter.
