I'd discussed creating this exact thing with a developer friend. Freakishly similar to our concept.
I've register an account and it seems like a great idea.
It would be awesome as a stand alone app.

indeed, this does look interesting. i've just signed up for an account... we'll see how it goes.
i, too, was thinking of working to develop a similar idea. it seems like basecamp was the only solution, and it didn't offer a specified number of tools that designers require.
what do you use for project management?

I was using iWork (now iBiz) but I had a major HD crash and I lost all my invoices, so I'm considering something I can use online, from anywhere...

i do everything "manually"... quotes/agreements in pdf, invoices/timesheets in spreadsheets, etc.
i signed up for the free trial of basecamp, but it's too bulky for me, don't need the collaboration/client interaction features.
this is really simple and it's got everything i need atm in one place.
