morning to all who's up as early as I. Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a way to keep actual video files e.g. .mov, .wmv, .etc. from downloading into the clients cache directory? Is this a type of digital server service? Or can this be written in .asp or other cgi script? Thanks for any feeedback and/or leads. peace!

yes. deliver your media as flv's via a flash comm server. this gives u the option to turn off caching.
i dont know of another way.

Do it in Flash, a la Google video.
Quicktime video files are a bugger to extract from PCs if the client hasn't stumped for the full license version.

You can turn off caching in your asp/php headers.
