can anyone recommend a good html text-based editor for PC? something on par with BBEdit for mac?

I use editplus. I'm used to it so I feel it's the best for me and don't see myself trying another editor anytime soon.

if you use frontpage you can do all kinds of amazing shyt. At band camp.......I used it to edit some text, but all that came out was a text rendering of girl playing the flute.....if you know what i mean.

i've always used notepad, but some color tags, etc. would be nice. also it's a pain in the ass to remove white space, etc.
guess i need to get with the times... been stuck in my ways!

i can't go away from editplus somehow cause its so slim and easy. these are fine also:
