I have a flash problem. It should be easy but I'm stuck and I'm on a tight deadline and I have to keep moving....so I'll pay $25 to the first person who sends me the right solution.
you'll find my problem at the bottom of this kirupa thread:

its not the interval problem. its the stupid passing strings and evaluating strings function.
email me with any questions.

the $25 is still up for grabs.

the function runs, right?
are you sure you labeled your frames "one" and "two"? You should also really try to get away from english in your code. i.e. don't use itemOne, just use the number 1.
anyway, i don't really understand what the problem is, the function runs, your traced variable displays correctly, but your movieclip never changes frames?

i'm a little closer to figuring it out now.
i just posted a dummy sample of the file.

take a look: at first the function traces (this) and (this._parent) correctly. but then when i target the function from a loaded movie clip. the traces return undefined. very confusing.

Okay. It has been figured out and the $25 has been awarded.
