photoshop is the standard, everything else is sub-standard until the trend whores get a hold of it and embrace it as the new standard.

umm i just use what gets the job done for what i need done...i find photo-paint updates basic feature more the photoshop anyway same tool ...

what ever you find gets the job done the way you want it is the program for you.
photoshop is considered the standard because it has been around for ages and most people use it. i played around with the corel programs ages ago when i was studying and they seemed alright. i just like using photoshop better.

I used photo paint about 5 years ago. Saving for web was a no go, colours would look different in IE and in the photopaint window. Come to think of it, maybe i didnt know much about CMYK/RGB stuff back then, cant remember. that may have been the prob.

both tools are good, i just grew up with photo-paint i now it better both tools are fine for me its just the other one is more familiar to me at the moment :)

I don't remember the titles but aren't there programs for fine art style painting that have features that PS doesn't.
